(Fort Worth, TX) — Rylander, Clay & Opitz, one of the leading CPA firms in the southwest, recently appointed partner Kelly R. Hein Jr. to be head of the tax department. Hein brings more than 20 years of experience in public accounting to the department, and has been a partner at RCO since 2006.

In addition to Hein’s certification as a public accountant, he is also is a Certified Valuation Analyst, with his areas of expertise including estate planning, fiduciary taxation, organizational consulting, business valuation and litigation support.

“It’s an honor to be the head of the tax department,” Hein said, “We have a great team and I’m looking forward to the challenge and responsibility this new position brings.”

Hein earned both his B.B.A. in accounting and an M.S. in taxation from Texas A&M University, keeping the Aggie presence strong at RCO. He is president-elect of the Fort Worth/Tarrant County A&M Club, and serves as a director at-large for the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, he has served for seven years on the Greeting Committee for Fort Worth’s signature event, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.
