(Fort Worth – TX) – Rylander, Clay & Opitz, LLP (RCO), a leading Fort Worth accounting firm, announces the promotion of Donna Mayes and Robert Simpson from Senior Audit Manager to Partner.
Mayes and Simpson both started their careers in the audit department at RCO in 2003 after attending the University of Texas at Arlington. Managing Partner, Rob Opitz, said of Mayes and Simpson, “Donna and Robert have been outstanding client servers and community leaders from the day they arrived at RCO. We couldn’t be more proud to have them join the partner group.”
Mayes earned both her Masters in Science and Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting in 2003. Community-minded, Donna served as a Parks and Recreation Board Member for the City of Benbrook from 2008 to 2013, and has served on the Board of Cancer Care Services since 2008, where she served as Treasurer and Board President in 2013.
In 2004, Simpson earned his Masters in Science and Bachelors in Science in Accounting. Simpson is an Executive and Finance Committee Member at ACH Child and Family Services, and serves as Board Chair of the ACH Foundation. Robert also serves as a Deacon at his church in Burleson.
In public accounting, college graduates beginning their career will work to gain technical expertise and earn additional responsibility over a number of years. Those who are most successful over these early years eventually reach the level of partner where they become responsible for all aspects of client service relationships.
